Bathroom Complete
We completed the bathroom this past weekend. My wife wanted to do an accent wall in barn siding so we talked with our neighbor who had several outbuildings that had the wood that we wanted. He allowed us to take the building down and we reclaimed the panels for the bathroom wall. After milling the boards, the installation was pretty easy. I left all the nail wholes and cutoff the ends of any nails that were stuck through.
Next, we installed a vanity we found on the internet with bronze hardware. We stained the window trim and baseboard and installed it as well.
Generator Move
Last week we decided to move the generator. While it was the quietest generator available (Cummins 20K Propane), it could still be heard from the patio. I spoke with the propane supplier and had them exchange the 500 gallon tank with a 1000 gallon tank. While bringing the new tank I also had them install it farther away from the cabin. With the proposed location being about a 150 feet away, we took the time to build a pad that would make it easier to service as well.
After the pad was constructed, I also had the installers dig a secondary trench to extend the service wire out to the new pad.

Kitchen Cabinets
The kitchen cabinets were installed with an island in the middle. We haven't finalized the counter tops as of yet but we are looking into concrete and stone. Hopefully in the next few weeks we'll have made our decision.
Cabin Flooring
The cabin flooring has been installed. We chose a hand scraped floating floor that installed pretty easily. Since the ambient temperature of the cabin can fluctuate dramatically, the floating floor would hopefully allow for the expansion and contraction to occur hopefully without any issues.

Food Plots
A couple of weeks ago we planted 20 apple trees of various types. The trees came from Stark Bros and were shipped with dry roots. We checked on them this past week and they have started to sprout leaves. These are supposed to bear fruit in 2-3 years. We also tilled an acre of the hay field to plant the food plot for this fall's deer season.
