Interior Doors

The interior doors have been installed.  We decided on these pine tongue and groove to match what will be eventually be the same ceiling design.

Deck Railings

This past weekend Todd, JP and I built the railings for the deck.  We left open two sections, one in the front and one in the back for the stairs.  This coming weekend we hope to have the grade in the yard pitched differently.  Once this is complete we will know the exact height for each stair case.

Drywall

 The past couple of weekends we have been hanging drywall.  It took a couple of days but it is now complete.  We added cement board up the chimney in preparation for the stone veneer.  We built an small component cabinet that will contain all of the audio and video systems.

 

We framed the fireplace last week.  This will be covered in stone.  Obviously, since we have a direct vent propane fireplace this is purely for looks.  We added additional nailing surfaces for mounts.

 

The patio framing was completed this weekend.  The front porch will be open while the back porch will be screened in.   

Patio Porch Framing

This past weekend the framing for the porch roofs were started.  We framed the ceilings and attached them to the posts.  In a few weeks we will attach the roof rafters to the main roof.  We waited until we have more time before we do the tie in, just to make sure we can finish the shingle work.  The front porch will be open and the rear porch will be screened in.
